MillerWorks Announces the Acquisition of Kelly Sheet Metal, Inc.
TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – December 9, 2024 – MillerWorks, a commercial plumbing and mechanical contractor serving North Florida and South Georgia today announced its acquisition of Kelly Sheet Metal, Inc., the region’s leader in customized sheet metal products.
The two legacy Tallahassee-based family companies were founded over 50 years ago to serve the commercial plumbing and mechanical industries. While Kelly Sheet Metal is wholly owned by MillerWorks, the two companies will operate separately. Tom Overstreet, Vice President, and Phillip Cooksey, Vice President of Operations, will continue to oversee the day-to-day operations at Kelly Sheet Metal.
“Since 1968, when Mr. M.D. Kelly founded Kelly Sheet Metal, we have offered the highest quality custom metal fabrication to Tallahassee and the surrounding area, including Millers Plumbing and Mechanical, now known as MillerWorks. This isn’t just about bringing two businesses together: it’s about joining two legacies. Kelly Sheet Metal and MillerWorks have deep roots in this community and a shared history of providing quality work with a principled approach. Our companies have always believed in the same core values: delivering top-notch service and doing it with integrity. That’s what makes this moment so special,” said Heath Miller, President of MillerWorks.
“Operationally, our clients will continue to work with the same Kelly Sheet Metal team members. We have always prided ourselves on our personal service and attention to detail in all we do. Clients can continue to expect that mindset,” added Phillip Cooksey.
“The MillerWorks and Kelly Sheet Metal teams look forward to our continued growth and the new opportunities this alliance will foster. Not only will our customers be able to count on the quality and service that has brought us to this point, but we anticipate the ability to provide new innovations and growth in service offerings for the betterment of our organizations, our customers and the community,” said Tom Overstreet.
